Meet Dr. Irma Palmer
Dr Irma Palmer is a licensed bilingual in Spanish chiropractor with over 30 years in practice specializing in health and wellness as an out-of-network provider. Based in the Hoover/Birmingham area of Alabama (originally from Miami, Florida). She also is a dedicated high-mileage marathon runner in the W55-59 age group. Notable achievements include completing the 2026 TCS London Marathon in 3:46:02 (bib 79572). She is actively training for upcoming races such as the 2027 Rome Marathon (with an extended Italy trip), Chevron Houston Marathon, Tokyo Marathon, and several U.S. events.
Outside the Office
Beyond her career and running, Dr Irma enjoys travel planning (often combining races with international getaways), home cooking, investing research (with a focus on defense tech, AI, and infrastructure), and community involvement in the local running scene. She’s been married to Mike Palmer for over 30 years, and they have a daughter together. Among their love for doing practical home projects, they enjoy outdoor living with family and friends.
